Paulinians Dinner Gathering

We have a dinner gathering at Irori酒處 with Winnie Ho, Pessy Yu, me, Wendy K, Pat, Maria, Phoenix, Wendy S, Vicky and Wanny. You can imagine 10 gals talking at the same time, we were so loud that even though we're already in a private room, people sitting outside could hear us (esp the couple who sit right in front of the room). Great recommendation by Winnie and Pessy. The food were great, eg 胡麻蕃茄沙律, 南瓜沙律, sushi/sashimi platter,池魚, sake and some other yakitori. I heard the ox tongue is also good but I haven't tried myself.

Fortunately with iPhone, we're able to refer to our class photos (via FB) and recall other classmates. I think we've located over 50% of P6B.. Among the 10 of us, 6 of us were classmates since Kindergarten KG1A.. haha..

X'Mas Dinner

My first x'mas gathering dinner with the girls: Mabel, Rashida, Cathryn & stephanie and Kitty at La Pain Grille at IFC.. The venue is very nice with it's French style decoration. I think it would be nice to be there for a lunch or afternoon tea, as they have balcony seats facing the harbour.

Good to catch up as the 4 of us haven't met for a few months : Cathryn talked about her trip to Japan with Christel to watch SMAP concert (I just knew Christel has ALL SMAP CDs until now)... Rashida has brought us x'mas gifts from Agnes b pattiserie... choco with this lovely bear..

Little stephanie refrained from telling us what she'll be performing the following day at school, she kept on saying " big secret, big secret"... cute little girl... we've also learnt that she will be going to Marymount next year starting p1.. (haha, unfortunately no reply from our dear school)

Lunch

6 of us went to lunch at the sushi place in jusco last week... we've crazily ordered a lot of sushi... and the salmon is only $3 each... so we've ordered 12pcs... yummmmm.. someone calculated that each of us ate 10.5pcs.. (not sure where the .5 came from)

New Tonkatsu Rest

Over the weekend, we've tried a recently popular Tonkatsu restaurant in Causeway Bay. My dad & mom love this but it's always has long queue on the weekends. Heard about this newer one recently - Butagumi - which accept advance booking and therefore don't have to queue up at all... taste is as good and price is also similar... worth going again.

2008 Dine With Stars

Company has sponsored "Dine With Stars" organised by Hong Kong Tourism Board. I have to be responsible for "my" table, that is inviting business partners.. Also, since it's a black tie event, all of us need to be dressed up.. Geoff Wong and Rabea are the MCs. Since I have to busy chatting with partners, while sneaking where are the celebs... I saw 2 beautiful ladies - Chiu Ngar Chi (& husband) and So Yuk Wah. Both are elegant and with beautiful skins. The presenting of awards are boring.. and luckily, there are some good food to enjoy.

we enjoyed a very nice lunch at Nino's Cozinha with Bo, Wing Yun, Zoe, Annie, Vicky, Selina and Elaine. It's a nice, cosy, family-run portugese restaurant in wanchai. Highly recommended: spare ribs, ox tail, Chau Chau (macanese fried rice), mussels...

Day off

Taking 1/2 day off in the middle of the week is perfect. Haven't been to soho area, tried a lunch at GBU, tried The Italian Job burger - 100% grass fed new zealand angus beef with italian mozzarella , pesto basilico, roasted garlic aioli, tomato, onion, and mixed baby green. The only one bad thing about this store is the ventilation is so bad, that I felt like I'm the one peeling the onions.

Lunch at Zuma

It's James "annual" visit from Munich, editor of our magazine. He brought us to Zuma. I've order a lunch set with soba noodle salad, sushi and marinated salmon. Yummy!!

If you fancy something not too sweet and fattening, this is the "Love Soup", with sorbet in the middle... Doesn't it look like the rose pedal bath?

The lunch not only sounds delicious, it also look delicious..since it's a business lunch, I cannot take picture of everything I eat.. but my colleague and I finally can't stop ourselves being a visitor.. this is the dessert I had...

Today, I'm invited to have lunch at Pierre(business lunch).. what's lucky is Monsieur Pierre is here today!!!! I've tried Popcorn soup (cream corn soup with popcorn), veal (very tender) and strawberry with vanilla ice cream.
